Accessibility Statement

How accessible this site is, and how to tell us when it is not.

Version 1.0 · Effective 17 August 2026

In short

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is keyboard operable, respects reduced-motion settings, and its contrast is measured from the rendered page rather than assumed.

It has not yet had an independent accessibility audit, and we say so rather than overclaim. If something blocks you, email us and we will get you the information another way while we fix it.

  1. 1. Our commitment

A physiotherapy practice serves people with mobility limits, chronic pain, vision and hearing loss, and cognitive fatigue. A website they cannot use is a barrier to care, not just a design problem. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this site.

  2. 2. What we have done

    • Text and interface colours are checked against measured contrast ratios, sampled from the rendered page rather than assumed from the palette.
    • Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
    • The site respects prefers-reduced-motion: with it enabled, animation is removed and content renders in its finished, composed state — never blank.
    • Images that carry meaning have alt text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
    • Headings follow a real hierarchy, landmarks are labelled, and forms have associated labels and error messages.
    • Layout reflows without horizontal scrolling at narrow widths and at increased zoom.
  3. 3. How it is tested

Every change is checked with automated accessibility testing (axe) at multiple viewport widths, plus keyboard walkthroughs and contrast sampling from rendered pixels. Automated testing catches only part of what WCAG covers, so we do not claim it is sufficient — it is the floor, not the ceiling.

  4. 4. Known limitations

This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, and has not been formally tested with screen readers across all major combinations. We state that plainly rather than claim conformance we have not verified.

  5. 5. Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use, email [email protected] and tell us what happened and what you were using. We will respond within 5 business days, and we will give you the information you were after by another route — by phone or email — while we fix it.
